The #36DaysofType is an annual challenge oriented to designers, illustrators, and graphic artists, which objective is to create a letter a day, starting from the A and finishing it on the 9. The supports, materials, and platforms are free, motivating the daily search to create something brand new and experimental.

For this project, I experimented with as many materials and supports as possible in my daily life, I looked for expanding the horizons of what I knew as design and graphic art, I went from styrofoam, collage, and digital art, to brushes and paints. The creative process that guided the letters and numbers was the association with words, each graphic piece is related to terms that were present on my quotidian or that have, for me, some kind of meaning, such as musical references, Fashion, audiovisual or historical events.
Day 1: Ataraxy, absence of spirit's restlessness or disturbances (MICHAELIS)

Day 5: Existing, what is reality? Are we real, true? Once a monk asked it to his master, which said: “Come here”. When the monk got closer, he tweaked his nose: “Is that real? What do you feel is real? Have we to say that we came from a god to be real? Or do you feel at this moment your body, your skin, sound, “aaaaah”?” You’re in here. You are real, life’s real. Day 6: Fuck it, sometimes it's the only option left.
Day 7: Geometry, key for understanding the world. (PLATO)

Day 10: Jabuticaba, looks like grape, Brazilian.
Day 11: Kant, men is nothing but what education does with them (KANT)
Day 12: Liability, they say: "you're a little much for me, you're a liability". (LORDE)
Day 13: Mold, if it doesn't fit in, is it no good?
Day 14: Nihilism, nothing.
Day 15: Organic, may your medicine be your food. (HIPPOCRATES)
Day 16: Passion, I reinvented passion, now it's a made up passion, / And this time it's a carnal passion, / It's enough of platonic or imaginary loves, / I want mouth to mouth, eye to eye, / I want skin, I want breath, smell, / It's enough of pudency and shame. (CASTRO)

Day 23: Web design, essentially the act of working with a criative team or creative people to combine writing and graphical elements to create a compelling message online for your potential customers. (QUICK)
Day 24: Xenophobia, "Get out of my country, get out of my country, I am Brazilian and I'm seeing my country being invaded by those bastard suicide bombers who dismembered children, teenagers. Day 25: Yin and Yang, balance, duality, complementary opposites that produces dialectic movement. Without evil, there wouldn't exist good.
Day 26: Zuzu, protest-fashion-shows, her son was tortured and killed by Brazilian Dictatorship (1964-1985), she used Fashion as a political instrument. In 1976, Zuzu Angel was killed by people related to the Military Regime in a car crash while the fashion designer was leaving Dois Irmãos tunnel, Rio de Janeiro. Zuzu's car upturned.
Day 27: Zero, the circle express pscyhe totality in every aspects, including relationship between men and nature. (VON FRAZ)

Day 29: Duo, don't ever give up, together we can conquer the world. (JESSIE J)
Day 30: Triangle, a flat shape with three straight sides. (CAMBRIDGE)
Day 31: Chimera, a dream, idealization.
Day 32: Pentagram, it represents five senses, five elements (spirit, fire, air, water and earth) and five periods of life (birth, childhood, maturity, eld and death).
Day 33: Six, a perfect number, a positive integer that is equal to the sum of its proper positive divisors, that is, the sum of its positive divisors excluding the number itself. (PLUTARCO)

Day 35: Eight, represents rebirth, renovation and regeneration.
